This beautiful, coral-tinged rosé seduces with berry aromas and expands to include bright citrus notes of blood orange and grapefruit essence, followed by juicy strawberry and a clean, refreshing finish. After opening up, the wine develops intriguing notes of bittersweet chocolate with white pepper. The inaugural vintage under the Risdall Ranch name, this is a perfect warm- weather wine in the southern French style.
Appellation: Willamette Valley
Risdall Ranch Winery was established in 2016, when winemaker Emery Risdall and his father, Bob, became the new owners of Shafer Vineyard Cellars, a Forest Grove winery with almost four decades of local heritage.
The Willamette Valley AVA (American Viticulture Areas) is bounded by the Columbia River to the north and extends to just south of Eugene. The west side of the valley meets the Oregon Coast Range, and the Cascade Mountains hug the east side. Risdall Ranch Winery is located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, one of six AVAs within the Willamette Valley AVA.
